Bob is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Founders Equity Partners and the Founder and Managing Director of Silicon Valley-based Cyber Security venture capital firm Allegis Capital.
Bob is not only an experienced 20-plus year investor in venture capital, but he is also one of the pioneers of Direct Secondary investments in technology companies, making his initial investments in 2002. Bob has established a reputation as a “trusted partner” for companies and their Boards who are interested in balancing their secondary needs while aligning interests to build long term value. He understands the importance of combining a hands-on approach in working with entrepreneurs and giving a first-hand perspective to the challenges for CEOs and Board of Directors managing their partial liquidity needs as part of a company’s overall capitalization strategy.
Prior to his career as a venture capitalist, Bob was a serial entrepreneur as a CEO and founder of two successful technology companies, including UNIX technology company UniSoft, and InfoGear Technology Corporation, the visionary creator of the original iPhone. Bob has been named one of "Technology’s Top 100 Investors" by Forbes magazine and is also referred to as one of “Cyber’s Money Men” by major business publications for his experience and leadership in cyber security start-up venture capital investing. Bob speaks and writes frequently on cyber security, the venture capital market and innovation economy and is quoted regularly in the media. He has a degree in Computer Science and is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at the University of California’s Haas School of Business MBA program.
