Robert Ackerman

Mr. Ackerman is a Founder and Principal of CCP, ACM and Ma Nian, (the pre-cursors to Founders Equity Partners) where he has been instrumental in executing over $125 million in pre-IPO secondary investments in companies such as Alibaba, Palantir and Lyft. Prior to his roles at CCP, ACM and Ma Nian, Mr. Ackerman served as an Officer in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Lieutenant in his six years of active service. While serving in the Navy, Mr. Ackerman completed multiple deployments to geographic hot-spots, including the Middle East and Africa, liaising with multiple foreign militaries in the support of on-going missions critical to national security. Mr. Ackerman also served directly underneath a former head of Naval Intelligence and was a key member of several teams focused on developing and improving naval warfare doctrine; taking advantage of the most advanced technology to train deploying units on how to effectively engage enemy combatants. Mr. Ackerman was responsible for the training and development of over 200 military professionals as well as various military units and received numerous commendations, including the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon and the Presidential Unit Citation.

Mr. Ackerman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from the United States Naval Academy as well as a Master of Arts in History from Georgetown University.
